On Windows 8 and on Windows 7 this app will cause your machine to lose focus on every application you have open. In other words, Traymail sits in the system tray preventing focus of other open applications.
When users try to close the Traymail client, the client will first attempt to close every open app in the tray. Some users will click on a program first. This will close the client, but the problem is the focus is lost and users will lose there open application.
There is no way to switch focus back and forth because the focus is lost when the clients tries to close. This causes the user not to be able to interact with the open windows.
I think it would be easier to have the tray icon show up in the system tray, instead of replacing the current icon. An additional function could also be added to the tray icon that would close any open application and bring focus back to the tray icon.
That’s basically my solution to the lack of focus/dragging. I think it would be best to have a tray icon that 1. displays all active windows 2. closes all of the open windows. In the tray icon settings, it would allow users to chose which windows to close by clicking on the app in the tray.

I really hope you will manage to port this out of the beta stage!
Yours would be the only alternative I would actually suggest, the Traymail I am using is developed by one of the makers of VB, always helpful to have a Windows buddy when dealing with the OS 🙂
