# Can you tell me when I can use Photoshop?

(CNN) Mexican rapper Rey Pirin faces up to 18 years in prison after serving two years in prison on charges of being an accomplice to corruption in a case that has caused uproar on social media.
The artist had appeared in court Wednesday morning, according to his publicist and social media, in response to the multiple accusations against him.
Rey Pirin’s website (sic) posted a message from the artist saying he would be “surrendering to the authorities.”
Rey Pirin did not appear in court.
His publicist confirmed to CNN that he would not appear in court in person.
Mexican music, arts and entertainment was hit hard when Rey Pirin was arrested in November 2017. Mexican media reported he was asked to work with a group of top politicians through the government’s system of legal bribes known as “pactos.”
According to a statement released by the State prosecutor’s office, he also gave police information on some of the people he worked with, the person who provided the money and other suspects to be charged.
On Monday, Pirin was fined 500,000 pesos (about $28,000), and he was released on a bail of 60,000 pesos (about $3,400).
A majority of this was paid by a judge who is also a member of the same party that includes Pirin’s brother, Elpidio.
Earlier this week, a statement from Rey Pirin’s legal defense team said their client had been issued “a provisional repudiation from the ‘Nueva Generation’ in which he was listed as a member.”
The statement also claimed that his professional name and reputation had been blacklisted by this group and that most people in Mexico only knew him as Rey Pirín.
The New Generation Party is one of the most prominent parties in the political landscape in Mexico.
Pirin’s legal team said that after the group had been listed by the police as a member of the crime group Los Cuinis, Pirin had received death threats.
The musician has fought back against his accusation by alleging he had been the target of a smear campaign by ‘Cuinis’ political party.
The government has a notorious history of imprisoning critics. Earlier this year, the political party and the minister of security, Iván Moreira, was accused of harassment following the death of a journalist who had been investigating the party.
