Entering the User and Pass in the URL for Tomcat
I am running Tomcat 7.0.5, and I need to change the users/pass of the Tomcat service. I can get to the manager jmx service, but what I don’t know how to do is what I need to do there. I have changed the config file to say:
I have changed the init.d script to make the changes to the config file, but then how do I add the these changes to Tomcat? I can’t find the equivalent command to do this in the manager page.

The file, say, init.d, where you have the user/pass changed needs to be restarted to reflect the change. As in here, you just restart the service like this:
sudo service tomcat7 restart
It may take a couple of minutes to get all the JVM processes running again.
