Summary Information Fields are labeled as any one of the ten main fields shown below. Each can hold up to 255 characters each and a total of 10,000 characters can be entered for each file. These fields are listed in alphabetic order, but their actual order is not important. The filename is not included in the Summary Information Fields and the Summary Information Field’s length is not limited to 255 characters.
In this version of File Information Editor, you can only edit Summary Information Fields of the file that you are currently viewing. If you scroll to the right to view the Summary Information of another file, you will be returned to the Summary Information Editor for the current file.
When you select a value to be replaced by “File Information Editor’s” Find /Replace feature, the replacement value appears as bold text in the Summary Information Fields. However, when you copy /cut/pasted that data, the replacement value is returned to the Summary Information Fields as plain text. You will have to remove the bold formatting.
A configuration dialog has been added to the main window so you can specify which Summary Information Fields you want to edit. This configuration dialog can be saved to the registry and has its own button.
