iVPN is a cross-platform application for managing your ipseccmd.exe’s with a graphical user interface. iVPN will allow you to minimize the process of using or opening ipseccmd.exe on Windows.
Command Line Usage:
iVPN can be run from the command line via./iVPN or it can be run from the Command Line via /iVPN.
Quick Start:
1. Run the command /iVPN and enter your username and the password that you defined in ipseccmd.conf.
2. If a configuration file was already created for ipseccmd.exe, iVPN should automatically start, otherwise, you will be prompted for such.
3. To use iVPN, click the configure button and setup your configuration as shown below.
iVPN Configuration Wizard:
Set up your ipseccmd.exe to work with iVPN
Create a simple configuration file in the directory that you want iVPN to be installed.
Create a new configuration by clicking the “Settings” button and choose “New Configuration” from the File menu.
Add your iVPN configuration at the top of the list of files, then click “Add”. iVPN will prompt you for a username, password and the location for the configuration file.
Create a configuration file with the following settings.
Name: xxxx
Owner: me
Password: mypassword
Path: /home/myname/ipseccmd.conf
Click “Finish”.
Optional: Save the configuration by clicking the “Save As” button. Choose a location, then click “Save”.
Close iVPN and you are done with the setup. iVPN can now be used in a graphical interface and any terminal emulator.
You can use iVPN in the following ways:
Using iVPN
Launch iVPN, and you will be presented with a new configuration wizard. Choose a name from the option menu then click “Next”.
Choose the username and password that you want to use in iVPN.
Check the box next to “Run iVPN when iExec starts”.
If you don’t want to use your username/password that was generated from ipseccmd.conf, choose “Generate a new iVPN username/password” then click “Next”.
If you want to use a more complex login configuration, click the “Advanced” button, and then choose the parameters that you want.
You can leave most of the parameters with their default settings.
