Lightless is a digital-analog RPG for OS X, featuring a unique post-chiptune style. In the game, you play as a mysterious bat who has been sent on a search for a lost friend. The story unfolds in a steampunk fantasy world, where it is the player’s goal to find the Path of the Stone and the Runestone.
Unique to the game are the sounds that are played to drive the narrative. You will hear a metronome ticking on the soundtrack that matches the game’s tempo, making the atmosphere of the story unmistakable.
Along the way, you will encounter a variety of musical instruments that play unique sounds as you find them. These include a drum kit, a flute, a horn, an alto sax and more.

Print This Email This Being “Black” and being “Native American” are two different words with radically different meanings, the rare and curious combination that so many people search for but few find.
In reality, of course, “Native American” or “Indian” is used interchangeably with “Black” in certain places; anybody can see that a black person is not technically an American, but no one can say the same about a Native American, because, simply by being Native American, one is in effect American.
The concept of a “Native American” is even more useful than a similar racial construct of an “African-American,” because unlike “American-ness,” which is simply a matter of birth and where your family comes from, there is clearly a cultural/historical component to being Native American.
And so sometimes it seems as if it should be easy to identify a Native American. On reality show Survivor last summer, for instance, a Native American seemed to find the “race card” of being native to be very useful in getting a better deal in the game.
