After learning the Count’s secret, the travellers want to believe him. While the Count attempts to seduce the man and the woman’s daughter, the older woman attempts to kill him, which in turn causes the Count to leave with the travelers, with the intent of forcing the man to reveal the location of a tomb of his ancestors.
