Nodal failure was seen in 25% of patients and 22% had nodal recurrence with concurrent locoregional failure. The overall 2-year survival rate was 85% with a median survival of 25 months. After a median follow-up of 21 months, HPV-positive oropharynx cancer patients treated with radiation therapy and concurrent chemotherapy with platinum and fluoropyrimidine have an excellent prognosis and the majority will remain progression-free. This is similar to HPV-negative patients treated with concurrent cisplatin and radiation.We need some validation in SAS, needs to get some of the ones with a down vote off of the boards.
