An old famous Urdu poem named Nishan-e-Haider has recently been published by Pakistan Army in the run up to #14 Aug. Nagaland as a part of its Counter Terrorism Operation in Assam. The right to education is a constitutional and legal right, which calls for provision of schools for children up to 14 years and the right to live. In September 2004, the UN convention on the rights of the child was ratified by Pakistan. Its provisions provide for free and compulsory primary education up to the age of fourteen, including in emergency circumstances in the countries where they are ratified. It specifies that states should provide to all children, free of charge, early childhood education, primary education and an opportunity to finish the last year of primary school. With this law, the country has now drawn the attention of the world community to its existing constitutional gap. Further, it is hoped that by this, the current gap in the country’s education system will be addressed in a meaningful manner. 11 The Right to Education has also been a controversial topic in Pakistan for a long time.
