Keyman App works with Windows 7 64-bit including 64-bit Bootcamp. However when you install Keyman via windows Installer it will always add itself to the Program Files\Keyman\ so you may want to leave it at the default setting. Also the Settings path will point to your user profile so any changes may not be reflected to other users. One way is to add the registry key under HKCU\Software\Tavultesoft\Keyman\ by editing regedit and setting the path to C:\Program Files\Keyman\ but leave the settings default for user profiles.

In the lower left corner of the dialog box, there is an icon called Update Keys. Click on it and Keyman will search all of the files associated with it. You can find the icon by going up the directory tree to the Apps folder and double-clicking on the Keyman8.0.exe application.

keyman input languages can be created by you or by designers. designers can use code from a perior version of keyman, which they can provide as a resource in a keyman *.rbc (resource bundle). your existing code remains intact so you can continue to create new keyboards.
keyman has created a special file format for describing keyboards (keymankey.rbc). this is a compressed xml file which describes the properties of the keyboard, the keyboards resources and the layout file.
you can select the keyboard on the keyman app as the default, but you cant change the default keybindings (the shortcuts that appear in the keyboard title). after installing keyman, you can open the keyman configuration dialog (start / programs / tavultesoft keyman / configure) and click on the options tab. here you can select default shortcuts for the following functions: keyboard, window, file, edit, tools and help. you can only set one default keyboard for each option and can remove them all if you want. other than that, when you switch the computer on you may find you have multiple keyboards available for your default. you can change your default keyboard in the onscreen screen by right-clicking, clicking options and selecting keyboard.
you can assign your keybindings by clicking the fix shortcuts button, if you changed the default keyboard setting. in the fix shortcuts dialog, you can enter the hotkey, name, description and id for each shortcut. you also have the option to assign an optional command (shortcut). you can see the possible shortcut names by clicking the assign button. if you click the assign button, you can deselect the currently selected shortcuts to remove them.
