the problem for me was the fact that my old version 5 was flashing a warning message to say something about an unsupported volume which meant that the tv wasn’t reading the messages from twonky. the support person got this sorted and we were able to upgrade my tv to v6 and i can now stream it to the tv from my laptop.
hi, i have the same problem as elizabethyork: i don’t know why, but sometimes when i log into my account at twonky.com, the error message appears “invalid license key” and the option to upgrade it doesn’t appear. if i try to install the update anyway, it does, but i can’t log into twonky anymore, and the log message appears again when i try to log in.. then i have to close the application and reopen it again and it works, and if i close and re-open the web page that i’m trying to log in from, it again appears the message and i can’t log in. this is very frustrating! is there any way to fix this?

in the twonky library, click on the ‘files’ category (top left) and then click on the folder named ‘pictures’, or ‘videos’ to access those files. you can then select an option for what you want to do with the files. from there, you can also create links to the file or move them to another location. there are many options available, such as copying the files to the root of the sd card, deleting them, etc.
so, to create your own custom tree that will be used to manage your music, photos, etc, click on the folder named ‘audio’, ‘pictures’, or ‘videos’ to access those files. you can then click on the folder name and select ‘create tree’. in the next screen, click on the ‘file types’ tab and select the types of files you want to be in the tree. to add a folder, click on ‘add folder’, and enter the path where you want the folder to be stored. you can then add multiple folders, and fill them with the files that you want to manage. i find that it is best to add a folder for each type of music that i have, and then to add folders for each year that i have stored the music. for instance, if you have a folder named ‘country’, enter this path for the tree: c:\twonky\audio\country
