the spitfire is a very sturdy product. it has a 15 amp fuse on the power side, and a 6 amp fuse on the esc. this is a nice feature to have, especially if you are using a brushed motor. even though the motor is not brushed, the esc provides a 6 amp fuse. if you are using a brushed motor, you may want to use a 7 amp fuse on the esc, but this is not necessary.

like i said, the tacpack box was well-branded on the outside, but it wasnt as well-engineered on the inside. the box was devoid of any tactical gear. only a knife and a flashlight. so, at least the stuff was there. this boxes solid-feel, industrial-grade packaging was a perfect fit for the ultimate package, but in my opinion, its a huge missed opportunity. the pieces inside were of average quality and performance, so i can only give the makers of this box a pass. its a case of the manufacturer tried to make a good impression by using more rugged packaging, but they fell flat and ruined what could have been an excellent box.

tacpack even included a small bottle of their specialized range cleaning solution. as much as i am a diy guy, this is the first time i have had to rely on an external source. i know that it will come to me in the mail when it is ready. the contents of the bottle was comprised of water, bismuth trioxide, and borax. the reason we use so much borax is because it is both a detergent and a corrosion inhibitor. this is done to help preserve the products when shipping them to you. once the beads are dispersed, we want to use a material that is safe for our firearms to be stored in. borax is safe for storing firearms and it also does an excellent job of cleaning the barrel.
