i’ve downloaded this thing a bunch of times and i get so bored that i can’t even play it. it looks like it’s an after thought for the first cfs and sei. maybe that’s why it gets so much attention. i have better things to do, like play x-wing and gruntz against the ai online. i don’t really want to fly the f-15 in a simulator. i bought this game because i wanted a good quality game with high resolution graphics, but i couldn’t make it happen. i had better things to do with my $15. so, i just gave up. i’ll download it later when i have more time.

this is a good game for non-gauges flight. pilot, copilot, and bombardier can (can) make a really good game with the right controls. adjusting the flight controls is a lot of fun. the player at the controls flies an airplane rather than a helicopter. in combat, when the player is firing missiles, the player can be part of the attack and the enemies will retaliate. player level for this battle is from beginner to expert. player can fly at higher and lower altitudes.

i like dcs the most. it’s pretty much what microsoft was working on. i had played before dcs but this game has gotten better. that’s an understatement. i get to fly and shoot. dcs is so good that i spend more time in the air than i did in the simulator. my only problem is that i can’t fly anymore. other than that, i think it’s the perfect air combat game. if you have it, it’s better than any software in the industry. it’s just amazing!

blackstar is a very nice simulator. it has a nice interface but it never seems to get any updates. the community don’t seem to like it much either, so it’s going nowhere. unfortunately, blackstar has had problems. lots of problems. the biggest is that once you get into a mission and start flying, there are bound to be problems. you can’t even remember how many times the mission has been crashed and restarted. i don’t know how many times i tried to restart the same mission. finally, after many crashes, i just had to give up. this is a simulator, not a real life simulation. it’s fun for a week or two.
