3. Penetration testing checker updates:
- Web crawl – now includes detection of JavaScript and HTML5 validation
- DNS Notify – checks for social engineering through DNS servers
- Domains Crawl – checks for the initial setup of domains if the server is under attack.
- Interception of SQL calls – checks for the initial setup of databases, and the first usage of SQL in PhpMyadmin
- Proxy HTTP Crawl – checks for the initial setup of proxy servers if the server is under attack.
As always, there is no standard maintenance release and the new build will be mostly identical to the previous one, with the exception of a few new important fixes. In addition, there are a number of updates which were not part of previous build. Below is a full list of updates.
Previously, the Acunetix12.0.18july201809 release fixed a number of issues, including issues with constant error messages, configurable alerts in the license management UI, and many more. With Acunetix12.0.18july201809, Acunetix included a lot of new checks, detection of RCE in Apache Struts 2, detection of URL rewrite and 404 vulnerabilities.
