One of the challenges I face in tracking down information about someone is the varying ways that the name of the person is spelled in the sources. So, for example, here is Jeremy L. Schwalm’s website bio. Last night, I read it three times because I was so unsure of the name and I was unable to locate Jeremy in any databases.
It finally dawned on me that Jeremy found all the information about the symposium on this page and removed the link to his site! I do not want to do a “hate-link.” I only want to praise his effort. After the “philosophers should know better” post, he did the right thing.
Was he doing an indirect splat about academics?
Most palatable, is that there is so much misinformation on the web regarding this symposium. I have caught a few people making statements about the conference that make me think they are not up on their English history.
Recently, I read on a science news website that “an official from the United Nations [quoted by] as saying that the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way around. ” Where did that quote come from? Can someone provide a source or has my mistake simply been passed along?

One of the challenges I face in tracking down information about someone is the varying ways that the name of the person is spelled in the sources. So, for example, here is Jeremy L. Schwalm’s website bio. Last night, I read it three times because I was so unsure of the name and I was unable to locate Jeremy in any databases.
It finally dawned on me that Jeremy found all the information about the symposium on this page and removed the link to his site! I do not want to do a “hate-link.” I only want to praise his effort. After the “philosophers should know better” post, he did the right thing.
Was he doing an indirect splat about academics?
Most palatable, is that there is so much misinformation on the web regarding this symposium. I have caught a few people making statements about the conference that make me think they are not up on their English history.
Recently, I read on a science news website that “an official from the United Nations [quoted by] as saying that the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way around. ” Where did that quote come from? Can someone provide a source or has my mistake simply been passed along?

1) Quite why you need to be “up on your English history”, I’m not sure. Saying that the Earth revolves around the Sun, not the other way around, *is* something I would like to be “up on”, but only because I want to be a bit more of an educated consumer…
2) I checked some really, really obvious ones where it turns out either nobody believes it to be true, or that the evidence is really flimsy, and… you’ll have to excuse me – too big to hope you’ll indulge me – but no article I’ve found has actually confirmed this assertion. I’ll keep searching though.

In Planet of Bots, you work as a bot developer, the one who makebots by coding them. One day, the clock strikes 13 and a virus attack the entire world. From there you need to get back to the first planet and repair the bots, only this time to keep them from self-destructing. To do that you need to gain experience with new software and hardware, such as the M5… Umm, the M-5. It’s the fastest bot on the planet. Just to make sure that you get the job done in the shortest amount of time as possible, you add a little bit of crime to the mix.
Story
Due to an error during a previous project, the developers for Planet of Bots forgot to uninstall their most recent bot on Earth. That bot turned out to be a bit too power-hungry and ended up overloading the entire planet. And now all of these bots would go ballistic on their own and cause destruction of the world. You need to get them all working again and fix them before the times runs out.
The main story is composed of five chapters, that you can complete in any order, and a few optional sub-games that can be accessed for a short time. You can pay to unlock hidden menus, but all this will not affect the gameplay in anyway.
Gameplay
The story of Planet of Bots is divided into five chapters, each one offering different gameplay modes:
Challenge mode;
Death Maze;
Time Trial;
Survival mode;
Bankruptcy.
Challenge mode;
The first chapter takes place in planet earth. Here you need to rebuild the bots. The bots destroy the world and you need to get the machines working again. Since all bots are controlled by code, you’ll have to let them run their way by manipulating your mouse. By clicking on the right mouse button, you can create programs to control the bot. House GOP extends DOE loan program for solar, wind
House GOP lawmakers have extended the Department of Energy’s loan guarantee program for renewable energy through 2016.
The House voted Wednesday to extend the Production Tax Credit for wind and solar power through 2016. The bill also extended the loan guarantee program through 2016 for wind power.
The Department of Energy loan guarantee program provides subsidies to developers of wind and solar power in a bid to increase energy production while creating jobs and lowering electric bills. The program has faced scrutiny for some of its spending, which has ballooned by 50 percent in just three years.

Boehner’s proposal would renew the program through 2018, but at a fraction of the current cost. The House passed the original version of the bill, which provided $30 billion in subsidies through 2016, with a vote of 344-79.

Braid wasn’t the first game I’ve played to realise that, but it was the first one where I discovered that I can play games like this for hundreds of hours.What can I say? It’s a surreal experience. The World of the Final Station – The Opening Sequence
We begin as Captain Leo, pilot of the Alakarta, in a striking double bird’s eye view. We then witness an epic battle on the surface of the gigantic asteroid called ‘Chichester’ as it crushes and hurries towards the tiny world of The Final Station.
To our left the opaque surface of Chichester appears to open as if to the eye of the storm it has attracted and from which it can never escape. But is the surface of this gargantuan asteroid even open to the outside world? As we are drawn into this gigantic creature of rock and ice, we have no clear idea of the answers, and our little ship leaps and spins like a moth trapped in the vicinity of a giant sunflower.
We know only that from time to time, we have glimpsed something beneath the surface, something that bleeds through the cracks, appearing to be the approach of a gigantic structure. And then, something strikes our vessel, the world spins, and the ray shields are down…
Everything changes as we arrive at the outer limits of the station, an immense wall surrounded by a silent, abandoned city of crumbling, ancient buildings. Our protagonists find themselves aboard The Alakarta, a late-20th century vessel that looks as if it might have been designed by a mad scientist. For a while now I have been wanting to do some more video game music videos like I did with the Arkham Knight one, which are fun and light-hearted. A friend who also happens to be a filmmaker had seen one of these and asked me if I would be interested in doing one for The Final Station, and I accepted.
This was a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy it, and if you have any suggestions for other video game music videos, please let me know.
I hope to do more videos like this in the future, maybe also for other games.
DISCLAIMER: Although the game seems very weird and silly, this is in no way meant to offend anyone, and I don’t take it as anything other than a fun little game.
In this video I talk about The Final Station OST, my favorite songs from it, and then some background on the game itself.

This year, many of us received the Batman Arkham Origins GOTY edition as an early Christmas gift. It was a beautiful box that contained everything you needed to start playing the game, as well as some nice bonus DLC. It was definitely a nice treat for me, but it wasn’t the only one of my Christmas gifts.
A couple of weeks before Christmas, I was given a gift that I didn’t see coming at all, and that was the promise of some Final Station DLC for Arkham Origins, so naturally I went home and had a little look around for anything in the game.

Beyond the images, Day of the Dejah explodes with music that is unashamed of yearning and desire, an incredible sense of longing that is often deemed to be “superhuman” by those who can’t quite believe the sounds we have heard thus far. Make no mistake: this is indie/alternative rock, and it is impeccable.
