The apparatus includes a pair of elastically deformable tubes that are secured to the collar. These tubes are elastically deformable for interengaging the collar and the fuel line. The apparatus is mounted to the vehicle using two fasteners that extend through the two tubes. In this system the mounting collar is prevented from rotating relative to the tubes. Consequently, it is believed that these tubes could be undesirably deformed if the mounting collar were to rotate relative to the tubes.A woman has been rescued from her burning car after it rolled off the road in north Queensland.

Police were called to the scene on Woodhead Highway at Brooweenie, just south of Emerald, at about 11.10am on Sunday.

The woman was taken to Emerald Hospital with minor injuries.

It is unclear how she got into the car.

Police have spoken to witnesses, but no-one has been arrested.

It is the second rescue involving a woman in the region in less than a week.

In that case, a Queensland woman was rescued from her burning car in Point C Millers Pocket on January 4.

She was also taken to Emerald Hospital.

Anyone with information about either rescue is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report to Crime Stoppers via the Crime Stoppers website.

Karen – not her real name – had been drinking with her boyfriend at a house in Point C Millers Pocket about 9.30pm on Sunday, according to a witness.

The witness said she had been driving “drunk” and had stopped at the traffic lights at the intersection of Woodhead Highway and T-Drain Way.

“She was a bit drunk but she was normally OK,” she said.
