A closing animation is a transition that results in a circular effect that disappears rather than a rectangle shape that fades. For example, it could be the painter’s brush that transforms into nothing. You can make a simple closing animation using the Pixel Brush here .

When you make a selection, you can select a path or undo, or you can add Ink Layers to an image. Selecting a path using the Ink and Lasso tools and adding Ink Layers is a great way to create a more organic style image.

Adobe offers a means of downloading software updates automatically. Updates may be required to keep your products up to date. Updates are available for automatic download from the Application Manager. To access the Application Manager on Windows, launch Photoshop, click “View,” then “Software Updates,” and then click “Apply.” Mac users can download these updates by launching Photoshop, opening the Help menu, selecting “Software Updates,” and following the instructions.

Earlier, the best workflow I’d seen for viewing reviews was to open the file in an external viewer with a separate tab for comments. Adobe’s Viewer Capabilities feature addresses this and many other viewer tweaks, all from within Photoshop. There’s no tab for comments, and there are two new panels for both review and security.

When a meta tag is added to a file, it’s easy to change the turn-of-the-century web-based methods for comments to using email or Twitter. The reviews approval process is now tied to an email address or Twitter handle. Therefore, only those people with the email address or Twitter handle will be able to interact with reviews of that file.

In Photoshop Sketch, you can invite collaborators to review documents easily by using the Pencil. This opens their sketches in their native app with everything mirrored to the Photoshop side. On the Sketch side, the image is opened with the Sketch UI. Lets say that after the review is complete, the PSD was saved as a different file named Photoshop_Final.psd. If the reviewer had an iPad Pro and discovered that his/her edits were reflected in the file without the content they were expecting, he/she could have shared it with me by tapping “Share for Review” in the Creative Cloud tab. This would drop Photoshop_Final.psd into my review queue and let me open it and see the changes.

Unlike Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom is a powerhouse. It is in some cases, I find to be a better image editing tool than Photoshop. More often than not, I prefer to work with Photoshop and move the images over to Lightroom where I can make adjustments and enhance them using Lightroom’s powerful tools. However, if you are doing your editing using Lightroom, you will likely need to use Photoshop to complete the task. Since Photoshop CS6, Photoshop has included an online editor called Bridge that works much like Lightroom’s import/export of images that were previously edited in Photoshop. Bridge has recently been reworked to feel less like Photoshop and more like Lightroom.
