it’s not very often that you find a game that comes with two totally different control schemes, but the island: castaway 3 has just that. and, it doesn’t matter which way you play, because both control schemes are well thought out. one of the games controls could be called the standard qte approach, while the other is more like a platformer. and, both are extremely easy to pick up and play.
if you were looking forward to the free adventure of a lifetime, you may be disappointed when you finally reach the island. well, at least you might be if you play the game on the playstation 3. the game is intended for the psp (but, can be played on the ps3 via psp to ps3), and the controls are geared towards that portable device. it would have been better, and more enjoyable to play, on a ps3 (as it is to play the game on a ps2).
