The Tropicana Campaign Setting adds three new countries to the world of Savage Worlds which is already awash with island nations. Each island is a special place that players can visit and Adventure with whilst also pursuing their plots. These places are called: Tropical, Occidental and Oriental.

Tropical is an island that is home to native reptiles and insect-eaters whilst Tropical Adventures play along the lines of Paradise Island or Atlantis. Players can visit it as a roleplaying-free zone or simply as a location to pass a night’s sleep or rest. Play is supported by buildings that can house adventurers and citizens in the larger towns as well as a water that powers the jungle.

This is the fifth and final game supplement in the five-book Tropicana line. It is not a stand-alone book, but comes with the complete Savage Icon series available in a tidy, flexible document intended to be attached to the campaign. Sixty page Book of Tropicals is provided to help the GM make this full adventure easily available. The savage icon style map track and sextant are included in the TAC setting book. The sextant can then be used in any adventure with just a few details of the region added in.

The Map Track follows a preset path through the features and layouts of Tropical. Adventurers can take the path for a guide or zoom out and follow their own path. Each map track has three components- Core World, Regions, and an Adventure. As it moves through the campaign, the Heroic Path will reveal more and more of the map track for players to delve into as they please. Maps can have up to 30 sections and it is presumed that you will create different versions for your players and GM (for instance, one for mountaineers and hunters and one for people who wish to just walk.)

The bonus adventure 30 page Book of Tropicals: Intrepid Reconnaissance provides details on the background, entry and exit, and game setup for the few details needed for game play. There is information on location and secret passages, animal types, twenty dire threats, location maps and more. It is designed to connect Savage Worlders and Savage Iconers so that you’ll have a document full of island features and locations.
