Toukiden: The Age of Demons is a turn-based Japanese inspired Action-RPG developed by a team of former Ghibli staff. The story revolves around the 4th century CE Toukiden, a holy warrior who sets out to destroy the Horrors that spawn in the land.
Narrated by the Toukiden protagonist, the game revolves around the player taking control of the Toukiden, who wields a Toukiden Blade as their weapon of choice. With hints on the screen throughout the game, the protagonist will be able to complete various quests to achieve character level ups, skill points to distribute between feats and a variety of weapons and equipment.
Alongside the traditional melee combat the Toukiden has a variety of spells that he can cast, with a depth of being able to cast additional spells depending on the equipment the Toukiden has equipped, thus meaning that the Toukiden’s spells cannot be easily predicted.
Tracks in the game can be bought with currency, or crafted, which will provide the player with access to more powerful, or rare tracks, as well as bonus points. The point system provides a reward structure in which players can level up by buying certain equipment, or completing more difficult quests. As the game progresses certain totem poles will spawn; these can be bought for the aforementioned currency, or craftable upgrades. Totems, will provide the player with buffs that can be used for either enhancing the Toukiden or speeding up the player’s process.

Gripper’s Adventure is a platform video game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Gameplay
The game is similar in concept to Sonic the Hedgehog in that the player controls Gripper, a friendly space robot with a power fist, as he must help a princess named Dinah free herself. The gameplay was a certain distance from the platformer genre, with little resemblance to typical platform gameplay.
Development and release
The game was first announced in GamePro in February of 1992. During the launch of the Nintendo World Championships that year, Kazunao Anami appeared in his role as President at Konami to show a short preview for the game, including screenshots. The game was released on July 22, 1992, in Japan, and later received an American release that October. It was later released on the Virtual Console for the Wii on August 19, 2008, and for the Wii U Virtual Console on June 9, 2014.
It would later be remade and ported to the PC for the Game Boy Color as Metal Black of Graffiti Jam on October 23, 2002, and subsequently for the Game Boy Advance as Metal Black of Graffiti Jam on July 22, 2002. In 1998, the game was ported to the Game Boy under the title Giga Gripper. It was first released as part of the “Family Collection” package in March of 1999. In Arcade Mode, the player begins at yellow level and works his or her way up to red level by clearing certain objectives. The top level, known as “Explosive Power”, required the player to clear a certain number of stickers without breaking the disc and the last level, “Power Destruction”, required the player to destroy stickers on all screens.
