I took the advice of a friend of mine and started a YouTube channel. It was tough at first because my first videos were so bad. I’m self-deprecating but the first video I made was a mess. I didn’t see it. I felt terrible, but I didn’t want to give up on the dream that I had started. I kept at it and continued to learn more and more about the editing and production.
Today I’m thankful for all the people who have taught me along the way. There’s been a lot of learning and some mistakes. It hasn’t been easy but I feel like I’ve become a better video producer and I’ve become a better person.
In 2013, I got my first shot of paying work. I believe I’ve been creating and posting videos since that time. I started working on content as my full time job in 2015.
