Incrementing years and months in Rails 3
Suppose I have an object that has a “created_at” field which stores the date and time the object was created. I’d like to increment the month and year, so that it looks like:

I can do this with the below, but is there a better way? I’m not a huge fan of the time manipulation, and I’m not sure that the time column should be an integer.

Why not? It’s not particularly time-intensive to format a string. And you’re just formatting a timestamp anyways, so you might as well do it once instead of five thousand times.
You can also chain Time#strftime with String#% without any problems:

When I went to on my Windows 7, I saw the Autocad 2011 registration key and I downloaded the package I downloaded from the activation page in Step 2.

I had the same problem and resolved it by using the key-maker tool and a remote activation code.
I don’t have an exact copy of the instructions, but it’s quite simple.
First, we download the Autocad 11 key-maker tool from the Autodesk website.
Run the key-maker tool by double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer (don’t run it directly from the Autodesk website!).
Navigate to the Path to your Autodesk product (e.g. C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autocad\Accelerators) and click ‘Open’.
Click the ‘Keys for Autocad’ tab and paste the activation code into the field. Click ‘Generate’. The tool will output a file named key.pdf.
Download the PDF and run the key-maker tool again with that activation key. You will need to paste the remote activation code into the field. You can navigate to that path again. Click ‘Generate’.
That’s it. Now you can register the product by opening Autocad, and the license will expire in a few days.
