History
AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 for Apple II computers running the A-1 version of the Apple II operating system and later for the Apple IIGS. The first release of the app for Apple II computers was the company’s first product and included a simple type of two-dimensional (2D) drafting, but this was expanded in subsequent releases to include many types of geometry, text editing, and rendering.
