AutoCAD is designed for small-business users of desktop computers who want a quick way to generate drawings for projects that require onsite coordination. The idea behind AutoCAD is to eliminate the need for a detailed knowledge of drafting by providing a lot of functions that can be performed with the click of a mouse or keyboard. In addition, AutoCAD works on PCs with standard keyboards and mice, and no specialized input hardware is required.
Drew Evans, the original developer of AutoCAD, was asked to make a generic application for desktop computers that would offer the same functionality as the more expensive and proprietary mainframe CAD programs. Evans and the other members of the original AutoCAD team used a reverse-engineering approach and analyzed the UI used by the mainframe CAD programs.

The present invention also relates to a photosensitive lithographic printing plate obtained using the composition.
Recently, the computer-to-plate (CTP) system which enables direct plate making using a laser beam has been rapidly developed and is now available for commercial use. The CTP system utilizes a photosensitive composition having a sensitivity to a laser beam. The CTP system has a short production time, a small amount of waste materials, etc. and is therefore advantageous.
Various printing plates comprising a hydrophilic support and a photosensitive resin layer containing an acid generator have been proposed for use in making a printing plate for use in the CTP system. For instance, U.S. Pat. No. 5,340,699 and Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 262629/””94 disclose a printing plate containing a heat-sensitive hydrophilic layer on a hydrophilic support. The printing plate is prepared by coating the hydrophilic layer with a composition containing an organic polymer and an alkali soluble binder, irradiating the coating with an infrared laser, and removing the exposed portion. The hydrophilic layer comprises a heat-sensitive resin which is a polymer of, for instance, a vinyl ether, a carboxylic acid ester or a phenolic resin.
However, the printing plate prepared as described above has a problem in that it requires a long development time, and produces waste materials. In order to improve the printing quality and the printing plate service life, it is important that the plate is developed within a short time.
The present invention has been made in view of the aforementioned situation, and provides a photosensitive composition useful for making a printing plate, which can be developed in a short time with little waste materials.
