## Automating the Pipeline with ObjectARX

ObjectARX is a C++ class library that extends the functionality of AutoCAD. It is a C++ wrapper around the DXF drawing file format. There are a number of objects and functions that enable one to create AutoCAD plugins.

ObjectARX is not an AutoLISP library. Instead, it has a’scripting’ mode that enables you to access the code directly. An example of this might be a drawing template (Figure 23.2) that you would use as a standard for all drawings. This drawing template could be stored in the drawing template library. If you have made some standard changes and saved the drawing template, you can access it directly and edit it.

I believe you’re just asking how to get the turtle window to appear when you launch your application. In a python program, windows are started using the following two lines:
sys.exit(main())

This line should be placed just below the #!/usr/bin/env python line in your game.py file.
sys.exit(app.exec_())

This one is a little trickier. First, you should be aware that your application’s window will disappear automatically. The second line overrides that and will keep your window open until you close it, though it’s best to put it below the first one. You will be able to see your window by running python game.py in Terminal.app’s “Application” dropdown menu, but if you launch your application from the Finder, the window will not appear until you close it.
If you really want to keep the window open but it’s not appearing in the Finder, try changing your launch command to python game.py &. That should make the program start as a background task (and the terminal should stay open).
