Teslagrad has a complete soundtrack by Jørn Lavoll, and a surprise accompaniment by the Norwegian musician and composer, Linn Kathrin Taklo. The 16-track album was composed and recorded in Norway and was released digitally on July 24th 2016.

The idea for Teslagrad was born during the year 2014 when Amanita Design’s lead animator, Tore Blystad, came across a pile of drawings by Inge Solberg, one of the character artists on our upcoming title. The drawing, referred to as “The Blue Rose”, took the minds of everyone in the studio, and we all wanted to know the story behind this picture.
Teslagrad is a side-scroller platform game that takes place in an unsettling land of buildings and lights: Teslarica. The world of Teslagrad is one that is constantly shifting between the past and the future and players will be compelled to deal with new inventions and technologies while at the same time battling people from a past they cannot remember.
The story of Teslagrad is about the forgotten past and the struggle of a small group of people to overcome the technocratic rule of the infamous Mrs G. The screen plays quickly, with players jumping, running, and flipping through each level. The heart of the game is how fast and precise the animation is, as each puzzle is dependent on timing.
In the first version of the game, there is a lot of exposition when the protagonist, Kyle, meets Mrs. G for the first time. This may seem like a waste of time, but this information is actually essential to understand the story of Teslagrad, where Mrs. G is the focus and the key to understanding the whole adventure.
