You need a file format for computers to read and generate for the 3D engine, and one for the game engine to read for the game.
The format for the 3D engine (eg. the game itself) is usually specified in what’s called a file format. That’s a set of rules the engine looks for to figure out what bits are data and how to interpret them. Probably the most common are Quake’s BSP format and XNA’s XNB format (which is specifically designed for voxels).
Most games are saved in a format that the game engine (eg. the game itself) can read. It does that through its file save system – usually with game specific formats (eg. Quake uses QC, XNA uses XNB).
In the case of Guncraft, you have to create a file format, and then specify it in the game’s file save system. You can use any of the usual formats though, the game will be able to read anything that the game engine wants.
Creating a file format is kind of an art in its own right – there are millions of them (at least), and all are not great. The ideal format is neither too complex, nor too cumbersome. Using powerful high-resolution images taken from a NASA spacecraft, astronomers have discovered an unexplained radio source in Mars’ upper atmosphere that appears to be real.
The source, which appears to be located within the boundary between two layers of Mars’ atmosphere, has been labeled by the Mars Odyssey orbiter as source A, just as was done for the much more distant Earth, in order to describe its location within the atmosphere of Mars. It was first noted in February by the Mars Odyssey high-energy X-ray and Gamma-ray Spectrometer.
Today, an image taken with the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on June 7, 2008, shows that the source moves both vertically and horizontally within the upper atmosphere of Mars as Mars rotates, and it clearly stands out from the dark and featureless region of the planet’s atmosphere.
“We could see the motion of the radio source directly, which is much more difficult with radio waves than with light,” said Vlada Stamenkovic, imaging system scientist for the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on the Mars Odyssey orbiter and lead author of the science paper describing the source. “From the acceleration in the images it appears that the source is moving away from the center of Mars and into the lower part of the atmosphere, then upward, then into the upper atmosphere. The velocity is about 100 m/s.”
From the radio measurements taken by the spacecraft, it appears that the source is located about 650 km above the surface, within the atmosphere boundary layer at an altitude of about 70 km, where the density and velocity of the atmosphere are much less than in the lower atmosphere. This makes this radio source an excellent place for researchers to look for martian radio emissions in the 60 to 120 GHz region of the radio spectrum.
The motion of the source within Mars’ atmosphere was detected from images taken with the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on June 7, 2008, and an image taken on June 8, 2008, shows the source moving even faster and further away from the center of the planet.

Plot summary
Zuni and Paco are American soldiers of an alien race called the Selenians, or the Voorn, that have invaded Earth. Zuni and Paco have been sent to kill a young man named Jennings, who is the leader of a resistance movement against the Voorn. Zuni and Paco engage him in a long firefight, but the two run out of bullets and are forced to retreat, with the young man Jennings running after them, firing a small-caliber automatic pistol. Zuni and Paco find an abandoned service station and head to the back room, where they see Jennings lying unconscious, bleeding and wondering why the two were fighting him. Zuni goes out on the porch to shoot at a Selenian, but on his return he sees the young man walking away. He then realizes that Jennings was a resistance member all along.
Meanwhile, the Selenians send an electronic technician named Brecke, to the back room of the service station with the intention of killing the American soldiers by gradually cutting off their oxygen supply. The Voorn is completely unknown to the American military, but Zuni and Paco are taking no chances. After an all-out fight in which Zuni dies, Paco cuts off the jugular vein of Brecke, who falls unconscious.
The engineer Iridium arrives at the station. He realizes that he must finish the Voorn radiation meter. It measures the blood group density (ogdist) of the “earthlings” to determine if their blood is of a high enough density to be used in the Voorn spaceship. When Zuni is mortally wounded, Paco severely beat Iridium. After a desperate struggle to escape, Iridium is left locked into the back room of the service station. He dismantles Zuni’s equipment and sends the recordings of the fight with Brecke to his superiors. He then turns off the water supply to the human part of the station.
When Jennings and the Selenians return to the service station, the Voorn engineer Kochkare orders them to keep Zuni and Paco in the unoccupied part of the station, while he seeks for any other survivors. Only the Selenians and two American soldiers were there in the unoccupied part of the station,

I am using Windows 8.1 update 1 and I do not have this issue, but I was wondering if there is a way to turn on compatibilty mode from Windows Updates. I am running through IE10/11 and it is just not a good experience.
I would love to turn on compatibilty mode, but it is greyed out when I am getting updates. I can only see it when I am not getting updates.
Is there a way to turn this on, and what would it look like?
It would be a minor issue, and would not turn off anything, just turn compatibilty mode on for IE10/11.

For anyone else wondering how to do this, there is a menu option in Windows 8.1, under the “Computer” menu. On my machine it is in the system section.
It has a couple of options that can be applied to different sections of IE, like Web Browsing or Storage Settings. In this case, you can choose Browser compatibility. This will set the compatibility mode for IE8 and IE11 as well.
