Hello, I have tried Spew, no success so far. I am not having any luck. I did everything you detailed, and even the part about putting the required dll’s into a folder. I have tried this with a 32bit and a 64bit version. I have even attempted to run it with the deb file directly. I have reinstalled it a couple of times. I even went and tried wine, but again, no luck.
I have 5 versions of Java under my and none allow the game to run. I have tried both ways, the Linux method you detailed, and the windows method on the Ubuntu site.
I’m completely new to linux, and to ubuntu for that matter. I’ve been trying for a few days to get Minecraft to run on my 32 bit ubuntu. I’m not understanding all the different files in the deb file. If anyone could help me get this program running on my machine, i would love it.

Using Google, I found the Minecraft files. I tried creating a folder called “/home/username/Minecraft”, but I don’t know if that is where I need to put the files. Do I just put the files in that folder?
I will explain my issue as best I can. I recently installed Wine. Minecraft is a game that requires two things for it to run. The exe file, which is a Windows executable and the dll file which is a Windows dll. To fix the problem, I installed them and ran the exe file. As you can see, Minecraft did not run correctly. This is what I did to fix this.
