Overall it’s a good game, though it could use some refinements. Combat is the biggest problem. It’s very slow and static. Many times I’ve found myself unable to do anything in the game other than watch my allies brutally murder everything in the vicinity. It’s very difficult to watch. It’s possible this could be remedied with an improvement on the level design. The game has a very limited overworld, so it’s difficult to get any sense of change in what’s going on. Moving around the map is slow and inefficient. The idea of action role playing is great, but it needs a lot of work before it can reach the level of a Breath of Fire or a Valkyrie Profile.
