Viewing all the tools

The first time I ever tasted gelato was at a friend’s wedding in the mid-’90s. I was 7 years old and the restaurant in which we ate it was one of those places that had that seamless mix of classic and funky. It’s safe to say that at a very young age I developed a taste for gelato!

As I mentioned before, they were basically limited to one kind of anything. One week, it was chocolate. Another week, it was fruit. On and on. As my palate developed and I experimented with more and more flavors, I started to really love some of the more challenging flavors, such as olive oil, cream, and coffee. However, when someone tells me that they prefer chocolate over coffee, I consider myself to be pretty darn lucky.
