KEYMACRO is a software which enables you to attach your own instruments or effects to a MIDI keyboard. You have the possibility to create MIDI Channels (just like the old sequencers) or assign instruments and effects to them.
Note The use of MIDI is not limited to keyboard instruments. You can assign an instrument to a MIDI channel that plays a synthesizer or any other device that generates MIDI messages. The output of this device is then sent to the MIDI input of the keyboard. This allows the use of software instruments as well as “the spirit of MIDI” instruments (like a piano or a guitar).

HOW TO INSTALL:
For proper work of the KEYMACRO software, it is necessary that a sound card is installed.
KEYMACRO has been tested under Windows 9x and XP. However, the use of it is not restricted to these operating systems.
Please be aware that the use of KEYMACRO may require the activation of the following services.
You can find out the status of your service by entering in command prompt “services.msc” and pressing F2 (that opens the services window).
Once the KEYMACRO software has been installed, open the program, press the “Launch” button and press the “Restart” button.
Before installing the KEYMACRO software, uninstall the “Keyscape” software to be able to use the “Sound Blaster” as your MIDI interface.
NOTE: If you do not have the “Sound Blaster” MIDI interface, you may use your standard MIDI Keyboard for the keyboard.
For your convenience, you may download the entire repository for free.
The KEYMACRO file may be unzipped by using a program such as WinZip or WinRAR.
When finished, close the program, without clicking on the “Finish” button.
NOTE: When the activation of the “Keyscape” service is complete, you can double-click on the “Keyscape” icon to launch this service and to use the “Sound Blaster” MIDI interface.
NOTE 2:
KEYMACRO requires the “Sound Blaster” as a MIDI interface. However, “Sound Blaster” cannot be configured correctly under Windows 2000. As a result, it is necessary to use the “Sound Blaster V4” MIDI interface or a MIDI keyboard.
