i would have to say that this program is poorly developed. it has, however, a number of specific features which are useful, but this doesnt make it tolerable. the gui is terrible, it does not look like the rest of the programs on my work computer, and it is unweildly slow. it takes forever to load a cd, and when it does it will look “real” and then after the cd gets written, look like a 3 year old drew it on a sheet of paper with a crayon. nero has the worst update interface i have ever seen. it makes you keep hunting for buttons and boxes. after a 30 minute download for this update, my computer boots up, and i find that a new version of nero has exploded in my desktop. the program is bloated, and poorly designed.
and anything that says nero has become the worst company i have ever come across. i use them to burn my media and watch my media but they have just gone way overboard with bloatware, their customer services are stupid and horrible, and the overall idea of nero is just horrible.
i have been using the nero brand products for a long time. in particular the nero suite software from a long time ago. i am pretty good at mucking around in the registry and tweaking things in my os. i don’t like to take chances with software so i tend to stay with what i know and what i am comfortable with.
so for a while i stuck with the nero burning room and products. i liked the programs and always had a good experience with them. i used some of the other programs but always liked the nero brand programs. i finally decided to upgrade my os to windows 7 and my burning room i went looking for something new and nero seemed like a good product.
i decided to try it out and it was a pos. the nero burning room software has a lot of bloatware and it shows in the os. not that i mind bloatware. in fact, i like bloatware but it just happens. i just wanted a program that didn’t have a lot of room for bloat.
