Why does the ESP8266 ArduPy library not work in my project?
I am using an Arduino Mega with the ESP8266 ArduPy library. I have a very simple board with a single resistor and led, and on the Arduino side, I have an active loop that is listening for a nodata value, and waiting until it sees a HIGH value.
The ESP8266 side of my Arduino sketch connects with an IP address as expected when I use the Serial1 object from arduino.h. When I attempt to connect with the ardupy library, the server does not return any response at all.

The “PicoXT” is exactly as small as what the machine was, and is so real, that it attracts, and not displace, your feelings of the 80’s computer.

The original “Pico” was made for an Italian magazine called “PC TO!”, a Finnish magazine called “Pieni PC”, and by 1995 was made available for the web-site freeweb.it.
In August 1998 the original “Pico” was moved to a North American website (GiantSoftware), but the size problem always remained.
In September 1999 it was renamed to “PicoXT” (a.k.a. “MicroPico”) and continued to work for GiantSoftware.
In November 2000 PicoXT was discontinued by the same company which made it.
Since then, several small projects are being made to maintain the original technology.
On this web site you can download the latest alpha version of PicoXT, which emulates the IBM PC-XT (Original and Enhanced), the IBM PC-AT, the IBM-PC, the IBM 5150 and the IBM 3270 terminal.
This small emulator has no external DLLs, no external ROM or disk images, no emulation of DOS extension and no installation (directly or through setup files).
