The Elden Ring is a large-scale fantasy battle action RPG by Arkane Studios developed for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The story is being revealed in fragments and the player must journey through numerous and varied environments, getting lost in the Lands Between, and play with enemies and allies to arrive at the ultimate goal of understanding the story. The game features the online cooperative gameplay that provides the player with challenging battles and a rewarding sense of accomplishment, along with a number of useful functions that help with the gameplay and provide an enjoyable experience. Elden Ring is set in the Lands Between, which are cursed lands created by the Elden God. The hero falls into the wild Lands Between and embarks on an adventure to find the knowledge of the Gods and the power of the Elden Ring to set things right.

It looks like a good game, and it’s certainly nice to see Arkane included in the title.

It’s not that I didn’t like the previous games to come out of Arkane, since I did, but I’ve yet to play any of their titles.

I think it would be best if someone as committed to Xcom as Firaxis was put in charge of development on the game.

I know the funding side has nothing to do with Arkane, but I’d be interested to see what Arkane has to say about the game they make.

Anyway, this looks like it’s going to be an interesting title. I’m glad it’s with Arkane rather than 2K or Activision, since they’re definitely the best developers for this sort of game.
