Anyway, I have yet to experience any difficulty with the Sibwings aircraft and it is extremely stable and very easy to fly, even in the default configurations. This is a tall biplane with a wing span of 24 feet. In fact, the Sibwings aircraft was inspired by the Antonov An-2, as the Dutch developer Pieter Meijer states on his site. It is however unique and has a unique engine configuration that makes it very unique. The undercarriage on the plane is fixed, but the wheels are retractable which gives the aircraft the ability to land on unprepared surfaces. Without retractable wheels youd have to land within a few yards and even then, I have a feeling that it wouldnt work too well. The aircraft features forward and rear cockpits, too, each of which is bigger than the average cockpit. One of the best features of the cockpit is the bright halogen lights in the front and the rear, and they would be most welcome if simmers dont use those of their own. The instrumentation is one of the best on the market, with extra clear and bright instrumentation in the rear cockpit. The only caveat to this is that the strange installation of the instrument panel means that the battery should be installed by default upside down. Only after you realize this do you realize how odd that is and you may have to swap the batteries to flip them in the correct position if you have a quandary. I found that it was very easy to switch off the radio navigation screens as well.
On the subject of aircraft, my friend tells me that the only plane that can match the Sibwings Russian military-era VC’s in terms of model quality are the Xian MA7 from Xiatian Wings. Its a Russian-made, interchangeable and upgradeable. I personally have been flying the VC2 variant (VC2 is the ATS Simulation one) since the day I got it and I can honestly say that it is one of the best mil-era Soviet biplanes, if not the best. As a result, I recommend the Sibwings Bird Dog to any and all simmers. All you need is determination and patience. If you want to fly the biplane, you can do so, but its very likely that you will need to do a fair amount of work to get it to fly well. That being said, however, the plane is a really cool one and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this type of aircraft. In fact, I actually might have to build one myself!
The SibWings Bird Dog is one of those planes with a special kinds of landing lights, in that it lights up objects as long as you sit in the cockpit! If you were to go to an exterior view, youll notice that the landing light is a 3D structure. A layer of this structure falls over objects in the distance, thus making them look like they are lit up by the landing light, while in practice they stay the same: cold and dark. However, this is a great touch and it really does help in seeing where you are driving. Just stay in the cockpit and you will be fooled into thinking this is all genuine, and not some magic trick).
The landing lights on the tips of the wings are also adjustable. The original SibWings Bird Dog had four lights. The new SibWings An2 has eight lights. They are adjustable in ten steps, from dim to bright.
