Players will quickly find themselves choosing between the three ways in which the game can be played. In essence, Tiny Epic Quest is a hybrid between the classic boardgame of Fools’ Quest and the video game of Champions of Poker. Since the rules are deceptively simple, but have many layers, the gameplay is deep and complex.
Simple to learn, but with a surprising amount of depth.
A double-sided map allows for precise gameplay, while visually and tactically pleasing. Players can use the map on either side of the game, or flip it over for completely randomized gameplay. Traditional RPG gameplay drives the story forward as players earn their way through multi-path quests by rolling dice, actively deciding every step of the way. Additionally, players can play on the same side as their opponents, or play against them. The variety of simultaneous play means players are never bored, yet are always actively involved in the game.
Card-based gameplay is fast and exciting, making for great competition!
Players use their character cards to invest into selected quests. Players can receive many types of cards, each with their own effects and attributes, and unique abilities. Players can win cards by rolling high, or can lose them by rolling low, effectively shaping the outcome of the game. Card gameplay is intense and fast-paced, and the game ends when the number of cards in a player’s hand reaches zero.
