“Kill them all” the earthlings might have said on our flat planet. We want to give that to you with our game:
“Kill them all” but not on Mars, “Kill them all on Mars”.
It’s a vast hostile planet with lots of little problems, and the C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s are the first to clean it up. They are the most powerful, they are the elite.
As they are trained to engage in close quarters combat, most of the C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s are highly skilled in the ways of melee combat, the other C.O.M.R.A.D.E.s use more specialized types of weapons,
but as you become closer in ranks with your squad, your skillset will be forged into a powerful weapon.
The combat in M.A.R.S.S. is more of a brain-game and less of an action game. You have to learn to communicate well, set traps, defend, attack and a whole lot of other stuff,
that might sound like you have been transported to a 20th century Soviet Union-level military training camp.
But it is more like you are trying to take control of your team during a fortress siege.
Every little slight mistake is the chance to turn into a real-life platoon commander and win the battle
not only for your team but for the planet.
The battlefield is designed like a war fortress.
Every combat unit has a certain type of weapon. Some are great for a tank, some are perfect for tanks,
others for infantry, air and naval units.
But every weapon can be used for more than one unit.
The design system is something we have worked on during the last years in the product research
as we were looking for a new direction in the visual design of our games.
By making the interaction around the units with the environment, the teammates and the enemy,
the design was a step ahead of the competition.

Assault-level 2 levels are as liberating as they are frustrating. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it, and EA has the cheek to charge $30 for a game that could be just as easily played online for free. Just buy it, shut up and enjoy.

It’s hard to pinpoint any part of the Assault game that represents a problem for me. That’s not to say that there aren’t minor niggles, but if this is a game you’re looking for, take my word: EA has got it.

My first experiences with Backpackers were over a decade ago in my latter days of college. Since then, Backpackers from around the world have not only joined me but welcomed me into their own groups. Travelers, couples, families, adventurers, musos, coming to and from festivals, endless meets-ups with friends, reunions of meetings with old friends and connections, it always felt like I had this unique perspective on the world that offered me great insight into the different people’s point of views.
The industry is a constant evolution and evolution is the most interesting thing of all. The point of Backpackers in the past was to give you shelter, food, and an environment that was familiar and easy. You would find your people, the community of backpackers, for the most part, and the environment would be a comfortable neighborhood for your fellow travelers. But then a new way to discover the world was born. We gave way to boutique hostels, vacation rentals, adventure tours, and local hospitality. The sanctuary of comfort gave way to the joy of discovery and the old world of diversity transformed into a vastness of possibilities.
