Note that the’velocity’ (CC value) is optional for MIDI note on messages.
This message type can be used in conjunction with the *MIDI CC* message
type to define Velocity CC. The Velocity CC is encoded with the same
byte order as the MIDI velocity, i.e. little-endian.
If the note on is *note off* (included in the same message), the note is
played (MIDI note off messages contain a “*” for velocity). Otherwise, the
note is not played.
As per the MIDI data protocol, note off messages are always sent as MIDI
note on messages, with the note number set to 0. However, the note off
message is processed as MIDI note on message if the note off is preceded
by a note on message. This is done to prevent note off messages from
colliding with note on messages and making it difficult to match an
instrument with a MIDI note on message.
The MIDI note on and note off messages are not processed by keyset

number, instrument, and the like.

Reverb: a delay line which sends audio through the filter again and again at a preset pitch and length. A variable amount of delay is applied to each sample
