if you wish to use the lasercut software and not the laser cutter itself then you do not require the data file maker software. the lasercut software can be used to open lasercut files directly. if you wish to have the lasercut software manage your laser cutter files then you do require the data file maker software.

drag and drop the lasercut files or the lasercut folder onto the data file maker window. click open and the lasercut files will be loaded. you can make further changes to the lasercut files here if you wish. click save and the lasercut files will be saved in the folder they were loaded from.

to prepare the cutting files for the laser cutter the lasercut software must be run. press the red laser button on the control panel. if the lasercut software is not running the laser button will not light up. right click to the lasercut software in the start menu and select run as administrator. the laser cutter will now be ready to use.
