While Raging Blast 2’s main appeal is undoubtedly the competitive mode, it still has its fair share of offline modes. In Online Mode, you can fight against a host of CPU opponents as you progress through the game. The game also contains multiple Other Modes such as Event Mode, in which you can fight against a team of just CPU opponents in competition across a variety of different game modes. Event Mode allows you to take part in races, battles, King of the Hill and more, with a mini-map of the area where you’re fighting to the side. The other modes are mainly through the use of shortcut keys, which will be easy for players who are familiar with other fighting games. Event Mode is the best mode to use if you’re mostly looking for fun though, as it includes the most variety of matches. Event Mode even has its own character gallery.
Of course, Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 doesn’t stand alone. It is sold as a full-fledged Dragon Ball game, complete with additional game modes. But I believe that if you’re a fan of fighting games, the Dragon Ball series, or both, that the many other options alone should be enough to get you hooked on the game. This game will easily sit around for a lot longer than any of us would have hoped, and that is a good thing.
The Collector’s Edition is available for the hefty price of 1200yen in the Japanese version. The Collector’s Edition includes a laser-cell artwork from the upcoming Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans remake, 8 exclusive costumes (including Bardock in white Battle Armor, Turles with a lighter skin-tone in Battle Armor similar to Nappa’s, and Piccolo in King Piccolo’s clothing), and finally a 3D pop-up box.
this is a good game for the diehard dragon ball fans. the graphics are better than the original. the action is crazy intense, but the game is still pretty slow paced. the music is great, and the game is packed with extra features. if you are a dragon ball fan, i recommend you to get this game, but it’s not worth buying a whole new dragon ball game just to play a variation of the original dragon ball raging blast.
