The country with the main part of the story (Russia, Princes of the Rus) is divided into provinces, which are divided into counties. Each campaign is set in one of the counties, and each year of the campaign will give a small part, or episode, of the main part of the story. So far there are fourteen episodes, and the season is divided to them for easier management.

Using public variables in an abstract class (or maybe another pattern)?
I’ve found myself wondering what’s the best way to handle public variables in the abstract class.
Let’s say I have the following abstract class:

For instance, I’d like to have access to a given Person’s gender (which is either Male or Female).
Should I store the Gender in the abstract class, and access it with reflection?
