The Shuttle-Echo VST plugin was developed to be a delay device that focuses on inperfections in the repeats. Especially good for slap-back stuff & wild echo madness (the delay-time can be modulated).
Controls:
The MONO-mode does NOT distort the original stereo-image. Each channel has it’s own delay-chain, in mono-mode they both use the same settings.
TIME: delay time
FEEDBACK: amount of repeats
250 ms/750 ms: maximum delay time

This feature modulates the delay time. The slider activates the effect & sets how much the delay time is affected.
SINE/S&H: Selects between a sinewave or sample & hold LFO. (sample & hold changes to a random delaytime value at the rate of the speed control)
-FLUTTER-
Pitch modulation effect (applied to the repeats only). The slider activates the effect & sets the mix.
SINE/S&H: Selects between a sinewave or sample & hold waveform. (sample & hold creates random pitch changes at the rate of the speed control)

The slider activates & controls the mix of the filter.

The delay unit includes an unique internal modulation of the time-constants. This gives the user the possibility to create all kind of echo-effects.
The echo sound is either a sine or square wave with a random delay time. The delay times can be modulated with the “scratch-faders”, with the “LFO” (envelope-LFO) or through an in-built chorus effect.

How to use:
On Windows the plugin is included in a nice-enough looking folder. Open it and place the plugin folder at the location to your Host-plugins folder (e.g.: in the VC-manager of Cubase 5). On OSX it is called Shuttle-Echo and it is included in your hosts-plugin-folder. To use the Plugin: Choose SOUND-MULTI-PLUGIN | VST | Shuttle-Echo and then you can open the plugin-folder. The plugin will work almost out of the box if the plugin was setup correctly. If not, follow these steps:
Before you can use the plugin, you have to prepare a very clean channel (1) for it!
[1] Turn off all delay & reverbs in the host, you can use delay-effects for that.
How to use:
Like all other Shuttle-Echo plugins, like the Shuttle-Echo CD-Device, the Shuttle-Echo Mono is completely independant from any other sources (drum-loops, vocals etc). So it can be used as Delay/Reverb/Echo for just an mono-channel or as a Clean Channel with normal gain. The main reason to use it as a mono-channel is, because the Shuttle-Echo Mono will always be sounding perfect.
The Shuttle-Echo Mono automatically creates a perfect echo-back in mono mode, which is the default. The amount of repeats for the echo back is settable, so you can make it a “not-so-perfect” echo in mono-mode.

What’s New In Shuttle-Echo?
The Shuttle-Echo VST plugin is based on the original shuttle-echo effect by Gotmono. Because we combined the plugin with a reverb, we call it shuttle echo. The Shuttle echo is said to create an unlimited range of new tones. It’s fun to hear the echo after slapback. The echo (with the reverb) can be added to everything.
Shuttle echo works in two modes. The shuttle-mode uses two separate delay-channels to create the echo. One channel (the main-channel) for the wet signal & one channel for the dry signal. The main-channel can be modulated (repeats or delay-time modulation) to create different echo. The reverb-channel is a dry signal that is added to the wet signal. This adds the echo & the reverb.
Examples:
1. Dry signal: slap-back (after you hit the SEND button)
Shuttle-Echo = Wet-channel repeats
2. Dry signal: slap-back + wet signal + echo channel (after you hit the SEND button)
3. Wet signal: slap-back + dry signal + echo channel (after you hit the SEND button)

SLAPBACK WITH WET SIGNAL
The wet signal has the same delay time as the main-channel, but repeats over & over again. This creates a slapping/pushing sound.

The wet signal repeats over & over again. This creates a delay sound. The repeat rate can be modulated by the speed-control.

FREQUENTLY REPETITIVE DELAY
The wet signal is repeated over & over again, but the delay time is set very low (1 sec. delay time). This results in a kind of instable echo or slap-back sound.
