SVChost Viewer is a small-sized and portable utility that enables you to view the programs run by svchost.exe. It also lets you stop selected services and generate reports.
The tool can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their level of experience.
As installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard disk and click it to run. It is also possible to run it on any computer with minimum effort, directly from a USB flash drive or other storage unit.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows Registry does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard disk after removing the utility.
The interface is based on a standard window divided into two panels for navigating svchost.exe apps and viewing detailed information; this includes ID numbers and used data, amount of data read and written, as well as service name, type, start mode and status. Plus, SVChost Viewer shows whether the selected service has the ability to be paused or stopped.
Aside from stopping services and generating reports (TXT format), you may also access the Windows Service Manager straight from SVChost Viewer. There are no other options available.
The tool may take a while to load the list of services at startup. It runs on low CPU and RAM, so it doesn’t affect the computer’s overall performance. No errors were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. Unfortunately, SVChost Viewer has not been updated for a very long time.

Impressively, SVChost Viewer Serial Key does not require installation. Its interface is presented as an icon-laden window divided into two panels, as shown below. The main panel has four main sections that can be used to navigate through svchost.exe processes and services.
The upper panel on the right is for navigating svchost.exe apps and viewing detailed information.
The lower panel on the left lists the active services. This is where you can select the service you wish to stop.
The service name, type, start mode and status will be shown under each service.
You may also access the Windows Service Manager straight from SVChost Viewer. There are no other options available.
With the service selected, you may pause the service by clicking on the Pause button.
You may also view the service details (such as Start Mode and Status) by clicking on the Info button.
You may generate a report of all svchost.exe apps by clicking on the Generate Report button. This will generate a text file.
Once the report is generated, you may view it in Notepad. There is no other way to view the report.
SVChost Viewer will appear on your desktop as a small icon. It does not use any system resources, so it will not slow down your PC. You may control it with a mouse or keyboard.
SVChost Viewer does not create any file on your hard disk or leave any traces after you remove it.
Limitations:
Although the app can display the active services and svchost.exe processes, it cannot run any service or svchost.exe application, or even view the existing services.
The windows service manager cannot be accessed.
The only way to access it is to open the Windows Service Manager application (refer to the Windows Help for more information).
