_ discovers that the doctors haven’t even been able to figure out what health complications your mum’s having. Apparently this is because she’s too fat for them to even get near her. Apparently.
So we end up at the docs so I can try and learn more about what it is your mum’s been going through. Once again, listening to someone talk about your own mother is creepy. I mean, I’m not even saying you’d be like, ‘Oh, that sounds like my mum,’ or anything like that. But I don’t know how it reads in English.
I ask my face to not move. ‘If she’s so fat that they can’t get near her, then what do you do? What do you do if she’s suffering and you can’t fix her?’
You look at me guiltily. ‘We make her fit,’ you say.
