step 3: click on the download packet tracer file and save it to a suitable location in your pc. step 4: now, open the downloaded file using any of the compatible windows application. on the left side, you will find a button called networking simulation tool. click on it. step 5: now, choose whether you want to use the simulink or packet tracer for network simulation. in this tutorial, we will be using simulink. step 6: click on the simulink button in the top left corner. now, you will be able to see the network model. at this stage, the tool will create a simulation model of your network. step 7: now, click on the right arrow button and select the device type. in this case, we have chosen a router. now, enter the ip address of your router. similarly, you will have to enter the ip address of the switch. select the switch and enter its ip address as well. step 8: in this way, you will have to enter all the ip addresses of the devices. you will have to enter the ip addresses and the mac addresses of the devices as well. step 9: now, go to the configure tab. here, you will have to enter the ip address, subnet mask, default gateway, and dns address of your pc. in this case, we will be using ethernet to connect the router to the pc. so, we will be entering the ip address of the router and the subnet mask. the default gateway will be the ip address of the router. the dns address will be the ip address of the router. step 10: now, click on the protocol tab. here, you will have to choose the type of protocol, like tcp/ip, ipx/spx, and netbios. in this case, we are choosing tcp/ip. step 11: now, click on the simulation tab. here, you will have to choose the communication type, like wire, fddi, or wireless. in this case, we will be choosing wire. step 12: now, you will have to choose the number of simulation. in this case, we will be choosing 1. step 13: now, you will have to choose the parameters to be used in the simulation. in this case, we are choosing the traffic and signal simulation. click on the ok button. step 14: now, click on the simulation tab. here, you will have to choose the time range. in this case, we will be choosing for 1 second. step 15: now, in the left pane, you will have to enter the commands for the devices. in this case, we are using the terminal commands. step 16: here, we will have to enter the commands for the devices. in this case, we are choosing the terminal commands. step 17: now, we will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 18: now, we will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 19: now, in the command line, you will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 20: here, we will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 21: here, we will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 22: here, you will have to enter the commands for the devices. step 23: now, click on the simulation tab.
