i bought a set of the vcds lite about a year ago, and it’s amazing. i have never had to leave the car for any of the code readings i’ve had. you can also view the vin and engine control module codes, which is very useful. i have found the reading process to be quick and easy. the only real downside is that you need to have your battery charged to the optimum point before you start the code read, or you’ll run out of power and not be able to read anything. i do have a voltage meter, but it’s only good for reading battery voltage, not the ecu battery.
