4. From the WINLIRC Client Server, you can choose one of the following remotes and test the remote: WinLIRC IR Remote, WinLIRC X10 Remote, WinLIRC WinLAP Remote, WinLIRC WinLAP Tilt Remote.
5. Your remote should be turned on and the remote’s button pressed (any button on your remote should do).
6. To make WinLIRC to decode the infrared signals from the WinLIRC Remote, WinLIRC IR Remote, the WinLIRC WinLAP Remote, and the WinLIRC WinLAP Tilt Remote, you must set the Decode Method in the Main Settings Window to either On-line or Local (it must not be set to Off-line).
7. To test the remote working on the WINLIRC Client Server, turn the Volume Up/Down/Mute Button.
8. To exit WinLIRC Client Server, turn the remote’s button off.
9. To close the program, press the ESC key.
