shailendra’s film was a musical success in the 90s. and akshay kumar’s recent movie, ‘bombay velvet’, was a musical success too. but what makes zindagi na milegi dobara work wonders is the fact that this is a film which is not really so much about music, but about a character who is a musician and whose life is music.
this is an engaging film. zindagi na milegi dobara is set in spain and shows the group of friends, who are going on a fun filled trip to spain. the movie begins with the trio taking a trip to spain. they are joined by an old college friend who is also getting married. so they are also on a ‘bachelor trip’. the movie moves on to how the friends deal with their issues, and the way they make each other’s problems go away. it is a very funny movie. the music is very good. all the songs are well done. naseer and ddb have been chosen to direct the movie. the movie was well made.
so here it is. my review of zindagi na milegi dobara. while the movie is hilarious, and the love story between the lead pair is set in the backdrop of the spanish landscape and it has the right direction, it is the script which is what works in the movie’s favor. and i guess this is what ‘zindagi na milegi dobara’ would not have been without. it is the script that makes the movie great. the film is a very good compilation of emotions.
you have to be wary of the fact that zindagi na milegi dobara has no major stars in it. but the film is a well shot, well executed, energetic and fun packed film. if you would like to go on a trip with your friends and also travel a bit on a romantic note, this is the right movie for you.
