When creating a new file in Photoshop, there are many different options you can choose, ranging from effects to quality settings. However, one feature you can opt for from the start is the creation of a Layer Mask.
Most people create Layer Masks to modify an image’s background. For example, the background could be a bright color and you would like to paint over the color. There are many different ways to create a Layer Mask and Photoshop offers users many ways to layer masks.
To create a Layer Mask, choose Layer • Layer Mask • New. This opens up the new Layer Mask options in the Layer Mask palette. You can create masks using Layers, Smart Objects, and other objects in your layer stack.
Layer Masks can only be used in Photoshop or in a native Photoshop Portable Document Format (PDF) file. Layer Masks have their own help area in the Layer Mask window.

My first time using Elements was back in 2012, and I was impressed with the ease of use. Instead of learning how to use Photoshop, I was able to jump right in and make impressive edits, creating a kind of digital photo magazine.
Elements has a very simple interface that is easy to understand. It does however have a few key differences from Photoshop in regards to how images are managed.
Elements has a flat file structure with preset layers and everything is seen in one hierarchical view. Layers in Photoshop are saved to individual folders. This makes things a bit more complex.
Think of it this way: with Photoshop, when you create a new document, it is saved into a new folder with a pre-determined name. If you are keeping track of your original files and folders, it can be a bit of a nuisance, and you are losing some of the organized structure.
If you want to go back to an older version of an image, you can’t easily go back to the specific file because the structure is flat and not based on a folder.
With Elements, you can see the different files for each image as you go. You don’t see the history of your image inside the file format but you can select a layer from any given time.
In Elements, you can combine multiple files for a single image into one file and save it.
For a quick revision, you can go back to any time in the history of the image and edit any layer and save the image as a new version and name it.
As you can see, this is a new feature that Elements has introduced. It may not be helpful for those that need a stable history with the original file.
There are always reasons to start fresh
With Photoshop, the files are saved in folders with original file names. This is a great way to keep track of your own history but it is a bit of a nuisance when a file hasn’t been updated for a few months.
The original file is saved in your “documents” or “recent” folder. You can use the History tab in the top right of the Photoshop dialog window to scroll back to any file. You can also save to “Save as” and select an older version of the same file.
But Elements combines all files into the same file. When you make an edit, it creates a “new version” of the file and the original file is

click in jQuery event object will execute only if element clicked is in the DOM.
Also notice that you are using on(‘click’) hook, but the element you are binding the event to is not a element, but element’s class.

Paste Options allows you to choose between deleting the existing image layer or adding a new one. This option is useful when you have multiple selection areas that you want to copy to the same location in the new image.
Cut and Copy is a simple command that allows you to copy a selection (or part of a selection).
It is useful when you have selected one or more parts of an image and want to move or copy these objects. While you can copy multiple elements, Photoshop automatically creates a clipping mask to make it easy to reapply the same selection to the same image, such as when cropping.
After you have created the desired selection, save the image by clicking the Save button. You can save the selection in a different file or in the current file. Click the Exit button to leave the selection and close the image window.
